This is a we video of Ruma Tui’s camp to Shantytown this year. It was really fun as I got to go gold mining. First we had to write about camp and then we made a we video from photos that were taken by Mrs Long. Have you ever been gold mining before?
We had to do pictures of animals and I did spiders and crabs and we had to count up to 33. It was fun and I did 2 crabs and 3 spiders and I got 33 feet. How could you get to 33 the fastest.
During maths this week, we have been learning to make origami boxes. We needed to fold the paper to get good creases to make the box neat. We watched a clip and followed the step by step instructions. I made two red boxes and one green box. It was tricky to begin with, but I found it easy at the end. The last box was a lot better than my first box. Have you ever done origami before?

We had to choose a colour first and then we had to write words that meant that colour. Then we wrote our poem on our chromebook. Next we put it on to Canva and added pictures and music to it. What is your favourite colour?
We have been learning about how Maui learnt how to create fire. I enjoyed the part where he chased Maui and through the fire at him.
I had to write a story about a rocket ship going to space. It was hard to do the writing but it was fun using the video.
